Shannon’s educational background includes a BS in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration from Oswego State University of New York. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and had three years of experience in public accounting before joining Syracuse University in 2003. Shannon transferred to the Audit Department in 2006 and is an Officer of the CNY Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, a member of the Association of College and University Auditors, and a contributor to AMAS's quarterly newsletter, "Audit Insights".
